Do small trailers like from u haul hurt small cars like a Mitsubishi lancer? - do small trailers need license

My husband and I move as best we can to Boston from Georgia. Use our easy to move Lancer and wondered if a small trailer accessories hurt our car.

U-Haul will not rent your trailer to catch someone with a car. You do not risk spoiling the transfer. Why do this?
Receive regular U-Haul and pay now, no chance to ruin your tranny.

Depends on whether stick or automatic transmission. In a manual transmission that can burn your clutch, if not carried out properly and in an automated system that could overheat. You should be able to without doing damage, but this is very simple. I recommend renting a small truck and small trailer to tow the vehicle.

Not really. Granted, the transfer would be the additional workload and additional gas car flushed face, but if you're 1000 pounds in a trailer, say probably no more harmful than 4 people £ 250.
